We are enthusiastically working towards the further strengthening of the strategic market position of the business unit BUILDING. The activities of this important business unit entail the marketing, sales and procurement of building- and do-it-yourself (DIY) products, electrotechnical-, and plumbing installations materials in Suriname, the UK and French Caribbean as well as other French Overseas Territories (DOMTOM) and North Africa. Our clients are DIY retailers and importers. Due to growth we are looking to strengthen our Finance & Office Management team with an:

- KEY AREAS: sales and procurement in over 30 countries
- YOU ARE: a well versed organizer with relevant administrative and Office Management experience. You are thorough, decisive, communicative, service oriented, collegiate, open minded and dependable. Fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of Excel.
WHAT WE OFFER
- we offer a challenging and interesting administrative-, organizational- and representative position on full time basis in a professional, international trading organization active in over 30 countries.
- within the Finance & Office Management Team, you are responsible for (part of)the daily administrative tasks. Among those tasks is the onboarding of new suppliers in the ERP system, accounts receivable monitoring, making payment specifications, sending payment confirmations to customer and statistics declarations. Numerical and administrative insight is a must, but accounting knowledge is not necessary.
- you perform (part of) the Office Management tasks within the Finance & Office Management team. This includes taking (international) phone calls, receiving (international) visitors, accepting shipments, booking business trips, maintaining contact with various service providers regarding maintenance and security of the business premises and the management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet. You also bear (joint) responsibility for the procurement of facility items such as office and canteen supplies, PCs and office furniture. You like to organize, tackle, solve and do. A customer, service and solution-oriented attitude is a must.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR NEW COLLEAGUE
- you have relevant administrative experience and knowledge of Excel.
- you enjoy working in an international environment. With worldwide customers and vendors multiple currencies, risk management, international banks and payment validations are business as usual.
- The performance of Office Management depends on arranging and providing support, and your colleagues are your most important internal customers. They count on your services at the office and when traveling. You are thorough, proactive, think along and you are reliable in keeping agreements made. And if something unexpectedly does not work out, you communicate about this in a timely manner.
- you are the ‘hands on’ spider in the web at our office who – together with the team – ensures that our organization runs smoothly.
- you are proficient in both Dutch and English. Without these language skills you do not qualify for this position. A language assessment is part of the interview process.
- you think and work in a structured way and you like to administer things for yourself and your colleagues.
- you are open, socially skilled and communicate easily with colleagues and visitors.
- you are professional and businesslike towards supplying partners and you keep a keen eye on prices and performance.
- you have an education at MBO level or higher. Through your education and/or experience you are able to function independently and you are able to make informed decisions. You like to function in a team.
- you are familiar in dealing with confidential data. Professionality, punctuality, diligence and integrity are among your core values.
